Mid Worcestershire Lib Dems aim to reduce Wychavon's high carbon footprint

November 17, 2009 10:23 PM

Mid-Worcestershire Liberal Democrats are holding their annual general meeting on Thursday 19th November at the Coronation Street Club in Coronation Street, Bengeworth at 7:30pm.

Members will be discussing the aims of the Evesham Vale Transition Initiative to reduce Wychavon District's heavy carbon footprint.

Mid- Worcestershire prospective parliamentary candidate Cllr Margaret Rowley said " We were shocked to learn that Wychavon has a higher level of carbon dioxide emissions than any other district in Worcestershire. We will be discussing with members of EVTI what can be done to reduce our carbon footprint."

Anyone interested in the transition initiative or thinking of joining the local Liberal Democrats is welcome to attend.
