The fresh interest in politics generated by Nick Clegg's superb showing in the Leader's debates has enthused the country, and polling has been reported to be brisk everywhere.
Margaret Rowley, Mid-Worcestershire Liberal Democrat candidate, says
"More people than usual are turning out to vote. This must be good for democracy. Following the MPs expenses scandal last year people were switching off politics altogether, but thanks to Nick Clegg we are seeing engagement again.
"With the result too close to call, every vote will count this time. A vote for the Liberal Democrats is a vote for real change. All our influence will be used to deliver the key priorities that we have campaigned on - a fairer tax system, a fair start for all our children, a rebalanced economy and clean and decent politics."
