Margaret increases Liberal Democrat vote by 7%

The result of yesterday's by-election for the Bowbrook Division of Worcestershire County Council was :
Con 1088 (59.2; -1.2)
LD Margaret Rowley 536 (29.2; +7.2)
Lab 213 (11.6; +4.6)
[Green (0.0; -10.6)]
Majority 552
Turnout 25%
Con hold
Percentage change is since June 2009.
Margaret said "I would like to thank all those who supported me in this by-election. Although not successful this time I was pleased to see our vote increase in what was a low turn out on a cold day. The Bowbrook Division faces a number of crucial planning decisions in the near future, and I will continue to support the residents of Bowbrook Ward as their District Councillor."
